About Us
Medi Publishing Consultancy is an evolving and dynamic publishing house. Conceived in 2003 in a family study room in Phakalane, Gaborone as Mowana Publishing House, the Consultancy was born and registered in 2005 as Medi Roots Publishing Consultancy, parented by Clear-cut Investments Pty Ltd. At conception, the big dream was to build a robust, local, traditional publishing house to focus on publishing all genres in local languages, as well as Setswana textbooks. During that conceptual stage, we developed six Setswana readers to set the stage, before moving on to other languages.
Services
Project Management
Overseeing the entire execution of an entire project or publication from proposal or rough manuscript to final manuscript, including allocation tasks, organizing and scheduling the writing and production process and attending to administrative details may include; budgeting and hiring members of the production team and design supervision.
Indexing
Producing a systematic guide or key to the contents of a manuscript; includes reading and analyzing the work , choosing subjects and concepts and arranging entries alphabetical or in some other searchable order.
Researching, Writing, Over-writing & Re-writing
Creating a manuscript or parts of a manuscript based on content and research provided by the author, may include adding original material to a draft, deleting material, re-organizing material, collaborating with the in-house editors or producing a new draft.
